The Monte Peller Choir of Cles (Val di Non) was founded in 1965 by a few friends on the basis of a common passion for mountain singing. Since then and until 2015, it has been directed continuously for 50 years by Maestro Paolo Lorenzoni, who is still present in the choral line-up but now in the role of chorister.
Since 2016, the direction has passed to his son Alberto, who graduated from the Conservatory of Trento and has been a member of the choir for over 30 years.
It currently consists of 31 elements from all over Valle di Non.
The choir's activities include numerous concerts in Italy, Europe and South America, as well as participation in various competitions with notable victories and placings. The most significant trips in recent years have been to Russia in Moscow, Poland in Danzig, France in Toulouse and most recently to Argentina in Buenos Aires, Rosario and La Plata, where the choir has been able to sing for Trentino emigrants.
