For the first time, Andalo has the honour and pleasure of hosting a concert of the prestigious international festival “Homage to the Piano Art of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli”. The municipal administration has enthusiastically accepted the proposal of the “Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli” Documentation Centre and we are confident that this meeting will mark the beginning of a lasting collaboration.
In the theatre hall, the talented Korean pianist Chloe Jiyeong Mun, already winner of the Geneva Piano Competition in 2014 and the Ferruccio Busoni Competition in 2015, will perform splendid music by Robert Schumann, Clara Wieck Schumann and Beethoven. We are certain that the piano recital will be, for the inhabitants of the Paganella Plateau, for the many tourists present and for the population of the Piana Rotaliana, an opportunity to witness a performance of the highest musical quality, of a level that is generally found on the calendar in the most emblazoned theatres of the big cities but rarely in our villages.
We therefore look forward to seeing you at the cinema theatre in Andalo on Tuesday 29 July at 9 p.m. to remember, or even discover, through Chloe Jiyeong Mun's performance, the extraordinary piano art of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli.
Alex Bottamedi, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Culture of Andalo
