Forget February 14th. Here in Fai della Paganella, St. Valentine is our patron saint, and his festival is a celebration for the whole community.
But our grandparents were practical people. They knew it was far too cold for a proper festival here in the mountains in February. And so, for as long as anyone can remember, we've celebrated our patron saint on the last Sunday of August—in short sleeves and with the whole village out in the square.
It's a weekend of music, flavours, and community, carefully organized by the Pro Loco of Fai della Paganella - I Scörlenti.
Friday, August 29th The festival kicks off in the evening with a party that gets everyone dancing, from grandchildren to grandparents. We'll celebrate to the tune of Italy's most beloved songs with the "Sarà perché ti amo" format.
Saturday, August 30th Saturday is a night for singing under the stars. The energy of the Santoni Family band and music from the DJ will keep us going late into the night at a grand open-air party.
Sunday, August 31st Sunday is the heart of the festival: our patron saint's fair. The village streets will be filled with a parade, the aromas of our local food, artisan stalls, traditional games, and music. It's the day our community comes together and opens its doors to everyone who wants to celebrate with us.
You can find the detailed program on the event poster.
