Foci dell'Avisio Biotope

This protected area combines three streams: the Avisio, the Adige and the Noce. If you are interested in wildlife, here you can find numerous species of fish, reptiles and amphibians, but above all birds: the kingfisher, the redfish, the blackbird and migratory birds such as the heron,  which use this place as a rest and refreshment area.

You can access the biotope from the village of Lavis and walk in the riverbed to almost the mouth on a dedicated path. Or get on the saddle to admire the entire eastern part, along the Valle dell 'Adige cycle path.

You can also explore the lesser known part, the western one, under the Paganella massif, accessing from Zambana Vecchia: the small road that runs south from the town runs along the biotope to a parking lot. Here you can leave the car and put on a harness and helmet to try your hand at climbing on the cliffs most appreciated by fans in the area.
