Nestled at the foot of the mountain, in the historic district of Piaz, the Castle of the Tower is one of the symbols of the village of Mezzolombardo.
This imposing fortified complex tells centuries of history: here lived noble houses, prince-bishops and great local families.
Its crenellated walls enclose architectures from different eras, with the fifteenth-century tower as the original nucleus, then incorporated into the baronial palace and flanked by two ornamental towers.
In the panoramic gardens there is also the small 16th-century church of S. Apollonia, which adds a further touch of history and spirituality to the place.
Although the castle is owned by the Tamanini family and cannot be visited, you can admire it from the historic alleys of the village or discover it at events, wedding receptions, art exhibitions and much more.
