Giardino dei Ciucioi is a mysterious vertical garden at the end of the 19th century that you can discover terrace after terrace.
During the visit, learn more about the history of its inventor, Tommaso Bortolotti. Between one staircase and the other, taste the scents of citrus fruits, observe the romantic architecture and discover the ingenious heating and irrigation system.
You can visit the garden independently without reservation from Wednesday to Sunday from 10.00 am to 5.30 pm, at a cost of €2.
Guided tours, however, remain the best way to give voice to the secrets of this place. The guides of the Ecomuseo Argentario are available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 3.00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 11.00 am and 3.00 pm. The guided tour lasts 1.5 hours. Book online to secure access.
From March to December, the Garden is transformed into an open-air workshop: creative activities and training courses designed for adults, children and families are scheduled, to discover the peculiarities of the site through art and craftsmanship.
