A small church from the fourteenth century and the view as far as the eye can see of Val di Non, among rows of apple orchards and spires of castles.
Today you stop here to admire the view, in the past travelers rested during their walk on the Via Imperiale, an ancient connection between Tyrol and the Italian lands.
The church is built in Gothic style with late Romanesque influences. Various frescoes decorate the interior and exterior.
The entrance threshold has a step about 5 centimetres high, without ramp.
We recommend a break, especially in autumn. Stains of red, orange and gold allaround, in the background the first snow-capped peaks of Brenta.
You arrive by bus or park nearby. Eating is not allowed inside, but there is a picnic area outside. Take the waste home or use the recycling bins near the playground.
On Tuesday and Thursday mornings in summer, Alessia Zeni, a graduate in cultural heritage, tells you the history of the church and the Via Imperiale. No need to book, and you pay for the visit on the spot, in cash.
