Silenzi in Quota is a multimedia and scientific research project launched in 2021 in Trento, in collaboration with the University of Trento, HEAD acoustics and the Montura brand.
When we think of mountains, we imagine boundless spaces where silence is a constant and invisible companion.
But what happens when anthropogenic noise invades these remote places? Silenzi in Quota was created to measure the mountain soundscape, using microphones and people as sensors to explore the fragile balance between nature and anthropisation.
Through an hour-long sound walk in the woods of Fai, discover active listening to the landscapes that surround us and a tranquillity that is in danger of disappearing.
At the end of the walk, there will be a screening of the documentary “Silenzi in Quota”, a journey through the almost 20 expeditions carried out since 2021.
Mountain Future Stories is an event dedicated to the future of the mountains: a laboratory of ideas for reflection, discussion, pause and appreciation of the richness and beauty of high altitudes.
