There is a lot of peace and quiet on Lake Molveno, the smaller Lake di Bior and the Massò Torrent!
In these waters you can find numerous species of fish including lake trout, perch, carp, tench, whitefish and pike.
The most typical fish is undoubtedly the arctic char, which is native to Lake Molveno. Its presence reflects the extent of ice cap movement towards the equator reaching as far as the extremity of southern Europe during the Quaternary era (2.5 million years ago).
Our main aim has always been conservation and sustainable fishing.
To promote the protection and conservation of this endangered species a fish farm was established in Molveno which also has a cultural and educational function. Here it is possible to study themes related to Lake Molveno's ecosystem as well as environmental problems arising from hydro-electric conversion and to the area's fishing stocks.
To fish in Molveno it is necessary to buy a fishing permit (daily €15,00 - weekly € 45,00). You can buy the permit on the website Trentino Fishing or in one of the following shops:
